Nokia X2, Microsoft announced a new, apparently using a new version of the operating system Nokia X Platform.
This was stated Yannis Paniaras, Head of Mobile Phones UX Design Studio at Microsoft, Beijing. "We made a lot of changes. Few obvious and some more subtle, but all of them bring a richer experience, faster and easier," he said at the official Nokia blog.
Nokia X platform used in the Nokia X2 is version 2.0. The operating system is still derived from Android, this time the site DailyTech estimate is its Android version 4.3 (Jelly Bean).
One of the changes reflected in the device, which now has a Home button next to the Back button on the bottom of the screen. Unlike Nokia X which has only one button (Back).
With the two buttons that, Yannis explained, users can perform multitasking easier. "Hold the Back button to access the Task Manager, which will display the (application) what is running and if you like you can turn it off quickly," he said.
Other changes include the mention of the Control Panel, camera view, Fastlane and also keyboard. "We built it from scratch, so completely different from previous versions," says Yannis.
